Let's talk pay and bonuses

Just be just, no matter what
@1oti+1eGulMjU, tend to agree with the comment. For the same level pay, salary, bonus, 401k company match, vacation days, and pension for those who have it, you will have yourself working much harder in a competitive environment. Opportunities and rewards are probably much greater.
It is a trade off, if you are young, ambitious, and willing to work hard to get ahead, then don't work here. For those of who are in late career, just ignored the bs and keep going.
I've seen and heard the righteous bunch complaining about folks being semi-retired or not working hard, it is all fair game at will employment. Executive management can't run a high efficiency operation in the bloated bureaucracy, don't blame the workers who are just following their d-mb direction. Don't expect workers to be altruistic when the company doesn't treat people with dignity, respect and fairness.
2021 treated me well. IPI in March, conn award later in the year, title re-marketed with 18% increase. Not too shabby.
Expecting to be top performer at review time but still likely 1-2% raise.
Raises here are dreadful. Bonus ought to be decent. Guessing 110-120% for mobility. We ended strong.
AT&T is a good paymaster if you have the right skills. Individual contributor L2 can make $200K, IC L3 can make $300 with 10-15 years experience. Dividend payouts on RSUs, pension contributions if eligible, 401k match, sales commissions, all add up. If you are looking outside the company for similar payouts, expect more hours and much more current skills for tools and technology. It helps to be top rated.
“ Other companies are paying way more, so best be looking if you want to make more money“
Not necessarily. If you’re say a L2 non bargained for type that has been here a couple decades or more, you’re probably making pretty good dough. I’ve found external opportunities are there, but aren’t starting at the same point. Not even close really.
in 2021 I had the payband for my jobtitle raised which raised my salary by about 10%.
I also got an individual bonus. Which i cynically thought wouldn't be possible after they replaced IPI with some other bonus system.
in 2022. how can i talk about pay and bonus for that. hasn't happened yet.
How do people survive on Prem tech/Wire tech pay? I’d rather go to school then live like that.
1-2% pay raise if you’re lucky. If you get more than that you’re probably at the bottom of the scale. Bonus should be at or above 100% payout, but we will see. So far I’m not hearing anything about layoffs. Lots of folks have left the company with retirements and found other jobs. Other companies are paying way more, so best be looking if you want to make more money. Now is a good time.
better be a good one one or I'm out.
For those expecting record bonus because mobility had a great year, don’t get your hops up. Been here a long time and can remember when we had fantastic years only to be told, “y’all did great, record profits, however... we face challenges ahead, need to prepare, pay down debt, invest in other areas. Therefore, sorry about that, but we have to give lower bonus than you expected”. But oh by the way, all the officers got increased bonus. You’ll see. Corporate greed run-a-muk here.
My pay and guaranteed raise is in the book.
I don't need to rely on bonuses because I write my own check.
I can make as much as I want.
Enjoy your title. ;)
Scott Mair was asked about merit increase with reference to high inflation in 2021, he answered "1% isn't the right answer". Take it for what it is worth.
Great 4th quarter here in Mobility. Going to be interesting to see the fuzzy math used to bone us in March.
I hope it at least covers my property tax increase...
Maybe 1% at best, Stankey wants you gone.
Will be a great payout. Record year on mobility side.... 120-130% payout.
How is this related to layoffs?
Dead bottom of my TSR after a pay raise last year. SMI Raise of 1% before that. No connection awards or any merit awards but same company bonus as everyone. Don’t care anymore. Stockmarket holdings went up more than my total comp. Thanks Jerome Powell!
Stonks!
You’ll be lucky if you get 1% just like last year.
i made 130k last year , no bonus
