Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What's stopping you from leaving?

I got the job after only two months of looking. Honestly, I was surprised because I thought it wasn’t going to be that easy. Now it is no longer clear to me why I procrastinated for so long and waited for something to change here.

I guess the biggest reason for many is still the inertia and the fear of a new beginning. I don’t believe the main reason is that it’s hard to find a new job.

The $150,000a year salary is what's keeping me here. 😃💰💰💰

What's stopping me from leaving? Because I'm waiting for them to escort me out. After decades of dedication and high performance I'm now sick and tire of all the bs and have no morale left for work. I'm just here to collect paychecks without working until they walk me out, don't know why they have not done that for so long.

@1epc Yep, in my 35 years at Honeywell one constant was "10% of the people do 90% of the work".

@1epc

At the end of the day you have to work smart not working so many hours and finish everyone's work. The company is run by political people. The truth is all the hardworking performers and the ones that work weeknights or weekends don't get recognized for their work and burn out then go post on this website how the company treats them poorly. These people don't understand how Honeywell culture works. If you want to survive this company you need to be political, talent and hardwork are not recognized here.

Gray beard and must stay in the area due to aging parents. Engineering jobs in the area that can match Honeywell’s pay are sparse.

@ajj

"I stay because it’s easy work and I’m lazy"

which is exactly why your hard-working co-workers are leaving. It's hard enough to meet the demands placed on you and even harder to carry the lard-a$$es, to boot.

I have other job offers but I want to watch the place fail and walk out at the best moment for me.

Because they don't have any transferable skillsets. The company is bad to work at but the work is chill and the salary is amazing for the amount of effort you have to put in.
