Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Really sad what’s happening in Branches

Front line workers for Wells are being pushed to the end. Non stop positive covid cases in branches and even if a person reports they were in close contact with another, management doesn’t care, just report to work and hope for the best. Two TMs died from covid in our district and absolutely no care for the remaining ones. They are no longer disinfecting branches after TMs reported being positive. They just tell the staff well make sure to clean good and report to work… Mgrs that are making these decisions are simply je-king it in their home offices and only working 2-4hrs a day. Last time we called our DM she was too busy at the store to take the call…quote “I’m next in the return line at Macys I’ll call you when I’m back home”.

We had this model for a bit where I worked. It didn’t go over well with customers. Bankers could still service clients by appointment and let them in for that but teller transactions were drive through only.

Honestly, being open isn’t that bad at all. I think most employees that work retail that have gone to work every day since March 2020 would tell you that.

Ok, not cleaning is bad...but WTF? Stop plastering your bodily fluids all over the place. What the heck is wrong with people?

I know for a fact that they are not cleaning. Just before Christmas I put a booger on the wall in front of one of the urinals in the mens room. It was still there yesterday afternoon.

@1mwl+1eCQ3mcP I don't work in a branch but I have used my branch drive-thru. There are maximum values on some transactions. I had to go inside to cash a check for $350 I had plenty of funds to cover. Not sure if this is a local restriction or company-wide practice.

Serious questions to TMs working in branches.:

Is there a valid reason why WFC can’t go to a DRIVE-THRU ONLY model of service, until the pandemic settles down, in order to protect our brick and mortar employees? In our city, that is what the fast food chains (such as Panera, Chick Fil A, Steak n Shake) are doing.

I haven’t had to go in to a bank in 20 years, so I don’t know what our customers need to do in person that they can’t do online, but is there a reason we can’t serve their needs via a drive-thru? Has that been suggested?

This really isn't surprising. In a way, those enhanced post-infection cleanings were mostly janitorial theater. Breathing this junk in when it's airborne is how most people get infected, not from hands touching gross surfaces. There's actually been some interesting studies on the benefits of a combination of gargling mouth wash and disinfecting nasal sprays after exposure to people that are pos. Check it out.

Being a teller and working in the branch is a choice. It takes time to find new employment but apply internally and find a work from home position. Wells does not care about us. No need to even complain about it. Start planning and act on your next move

To the person saying they are cleaned every night I challenge you to go into a branch drop a gum wrapper against a wall, somewhere not noticeable and come back the next day. Then a week after, then a month later and I bet you it’ll still be there.

The cleaning part is a straight lie. They are cleaned every night.

I’d trust the guy on the corner of mlk blvd in Harlem before I trust the WF ethics hotline

Remember, no one at WF has EVER been fired for reporting something to the Ethics Line. No one. Not even once. And especially not for reporting something like the creation of unauthorized accounts.

Wells Fargo managers will be able to answer your issues much quicker once Macy's hires more employees to shorten those lines. Stay tuned.

That's the problem with Macy's, it attracts the wrong type. I couldn't have made your point any better!
