Many have found much better jobs. However, there are also those who have accepted not much better opportunities. Just a few years ago, my colleague would never have accepted the job he accepted now, just to get out of here. It seems that many are not so picky anymore because they want to leave as soon as possible?

really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel if you end up at a worse place than att.
When you really want to leave, sometimes it's worth it to even take a step down. I took a 30% cut to leave a toxic workplace once. I left a place with no WFH, micromanagement by tyrants, and a horrible commute, to take a 100% remote role with people who treat each other like adults, and management who realize it's better to work with their direct reports rather than to dictate down to them.
