The company really needs to recognize the associates who have not taken a covid leave. We need a two week bonus. We have had so many of the same associates take leave after leave and get paid for it. The compan6 wants to make you think they have to have a positive diagnosis to get paid and that's not true. I consider myself a great associate who has to pick up so much extra work due to the same people taking covid leaves over and over again just to be able to still have a job. If only everyone could have it that easy

You do have to have a positive result to get paid and take a leave. Not only did I have to send Sedgwick the proof of my positive test I also sent it to my store manager. And it has to be a lab test. I am not allowed to return to work unless my next lab test is negative. I really want to come back to work so I hope my test is negative but if it’s positive there’s nothing I can do about it. Can’t really help if people get sick. You can get Covid multiple times. There are different strains. You can even get Covid with the vaccine like I did. If you want that extra two week pay just find someone to cough on you instead of fu----g complaining. One of my coworkers is in the hospital and has already had Covid multiple times.
The advantage of not taking advantage of a covid leave is that we accumulate PPTO hours.
I believe this comment is for people that abused the system not the ones that have covid. I hope you get well.
I usually don’t make comments but this time I HAVE TOO . I currently have Covid and I sent my positive results to Sedwick AND TRUST ME I WOULD RATHER BE AT WORK then what I am going through so be thankful please and happy you did not get it
I agree there is only a handful at our club that has not taken off. I am not one to take advantage of my work place. I like to be honest.
This aint a mom and pop shop. Corporate sees us all as equal filth, disposable cogs in the their money making machine. You gotta understand that and take advantage where you can. Sticking it to the company and taking advantage of the opportunities they rarely and reluctantly have to give us is the only satisfaction some of us can get. If you step on some ants do you contemplate whether that was a good hard working ant or an ant who is a subpar worker? They all just ants.
