Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

How many cases of COVID at your workplace

I was just wondering how many cases of COVID have been reported at your site. Just the numbers. I don't want this to be a vax vs anti-vax thread. At Plymouth, MN (Aerospace site) we had an email come out that said 5 of our co-workers tested positive for COVID over the past two weeks. Each one had multiple close contacts and those people needed to be quarantined. This comes after a lack of leadership from Aero and Corporate which brought the office workers back to the site even though Minnesota had one of the highest increases in COVID cases in the country. I guess their statement that decisions would be based on a site by site bases was complete cr-p. The workers that are sick are my fellow ISC employees. Aren't these the same employees we were trying to protect by having the office workers work from home. There were maybe a couple of more cases earlier in November. How about your site?

@2uod, by dishonesty disqualifying all quantifiable data, you successfully devolved rational dialog about the pandemic to nothing more than moneys flinging sh-t at the other.

I will concede the debate to your vast experience manufacturing and enjoying orange men ex------t.

Case count is worthless. PCR is a cr-p test. It is a research tool not a diagnostic method.

I used to say if local hospitals are filling up, that’s something I’ll pay attention to. Problem with that now is they have laid off employees who refuse the vax. This makes the capacity far less than it was before. That coupled with the federal government incentives for hospitals case counts, makes those number worthless as well.

Lots of cases will mean lots of disruption to the business.
Lots of disruption will mean lots of financial impact.
Lots of financial impact inevitably leads to Hon management taking it out on employees (instead of you know, managing), typically via layoffs.

Hence, this thread is on-topic re: layoffs.
Stop nuking this thread and the reported numbers.
