Man Time

What's the best place off campus these days to put in that OT?

Get that job dun.

Anybody out there familiar with The Ritz? Pretty nice place I've heard but probably not the type of Man time people are talking about.

Mad at yourself @2qab? Just realize that everyone can’t be a winner in life, sonny. Mostly it’s a question of being in the right place at the right time and knowing when to cease the opportunity. But in any case, it’s a true story and you denying it doesn’t alter anything in the least.

For 10 years I was a non-exempt employee with Chevron getting an hourly pay while working in GOMBU. My Dad and my supervisor were and still are very good friends since their High School days. My Dad owns an 850 acre parcel of land in south central Louisiana that is prime deer and hog hunting grounds and boasts one of the best hunting lodges found in the State. My supervisor is also an avid hunter. I used to earn between 25% to 40% extra pay through OT consistently in every paycheck, thanks to my father’s close friendship with my supervisor. Sure, my boss and I got along very well too. I was one of his best employees. The thing was, I never worked more than a 40 hour week. I kept my mouth shut and none of my coworkers ever had a clue, but my boss signed off on my OT reports without question. I did this for 10 years until my boss retired. He had a 37 year career with Chevron and decided to enjoy his retirement. My OT gravy train ended, so I changed jobs to an exempt position in New Orleans Chevron office, then transferred to a higher paying job in Houston in the mid 90’s before retiring in 2016. So, to stay on point with the OP’s question, for me the best place to put in OT was at my house, right after knocking off work at 4pm sharp. Get it wherever you can.

Sometimes you just sling in that OT in the office if you can't wait to get off campus.
