Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Hiring anyone who applies?

It's really sad how low Sam's has sunk. There have been very bad employees here before, but now it looks like the company hires anyone who applies. Instead of motivating, rewarding, trying to keep the best employees... What a waste of energy and resources.

They want short term employees so they pay less in pto hours if you were to make it that long. If your an employee or customer you don't matter at all the only thing this company values is the price of WMT stock nothing else.

I've been with Sam's club over 30 years
Managers are quick to throw associates under the bus. But managers should not forget we also can throw them under the bus. If you ever push us against the Sam's club wall. Matter if we've been 1 month or 50 years let us do our jobs and go home stop worrying about how much we make and what we doing. Shady managers stealing company time. If associates had a chance to get rid of the managers that don't do nothing we also would have done it. Us associates see a lot of things that managers do that would get them in a lot of trouble. Most of the associates we'll start talking and a lot of associates know a lot of different things but every associate I talk to say the only use it is last resort. Managers act like they got the upper hand because they can sit in the camera room. We also know things that managers do and we don't need a camera room. So just let us do our jobs. You expose the associates we will expose you. I don't be having no hard feelings for nobody Just don't be trying to play with associates job or are paycheck and we cooling.

If you're talking about getting rid of the old folks that make good money cuz you feel that they don't pull their weight how do you think we feel about the new hires! And u give more respect to the new hires than you do the old timers! Not to mention management is the main cause of not being productive. All the associates see the managers not doing anything leave by example. If you really want to be honest you should start with management get rid of the ones that are not doing anything but gossiping talking all day. Then you got a nerve to say the old associates that get paid well are not doing anything. Well management get to working and you'll see changes with your associates! You're also the same manager that keeps leaving all these comments then you try to cover it up by saying all clubs have associates long-term that get overpaid when you're talking about a Pacific club but you won't come out and say it. It's pretty obvious.
Yeah also got very close to a gray area you can't reveal associates pay due to HIPAA. And yes so she finds out and discuss their pay with other associates you will be fired. And trust me if you ever get associate mad at you they will snitch on you. I don't know you or what state you working but I can imagine you're not a very honest manager.

Walmart Inc has to justify that outrageous monthly fee they pay Workday.

Not to mention Workday gets gobs of cash for the total number of new hires.

10 people quit Workday hires 20 people so not to lose any that nice green lettuce.

People are getting paid more than ever nowadays but it seems like there’s no work ethic anymore. There are a handful of folks carrying 90% of the workload in most clubs as the others do everything they can to avoid doing actual work. Then you have a very small percentage of long-term associates who are just collecting a paycheck and not being held accountable for their productivity. This company needs to have a buyout program implemented by management at their discretion which could be used to shed the overpaid dead-weight.

Well it looks like they hired you they wouldn't have known if you're a good employee or a bad employee until you actually start working. And once they see the trend that people are not being productive then they will know lmao but by then it's kind of late. It's just like gambling sometimes you win sometimes you lose. You can't just look at a person always and say they're going to be a good worker or not yes there's certain questions you can ask and other things you can do to determine that but sometimes still may slip through the cracks. I think my job is done here. Signing out my name 10 ft rule

What motivates employees? We've given out several raises and whether they make 11.00 or 19 they produce the same amount of work.
