Prior posts have this former employee wondering: what's U.S. Bank doing for the vaccine requirement debacle? Is there a deadline for current employees to get the covid vaccine? Are they ignoring it and hoping things go away? If memory serves, the company didn't have the best HR department (sorry hr people reading!). Can't imagine they could juggle something like vaccine status.

If there is a vaccine mandate I will lawyer up and will try to have as many people as possible to join in the lawsuit. People win when they stick together. Freedom is worth fighting for. This is America - land of the free. I am not ready to give away my rights for a virus that has survival rate of 99.8%. Fight like he-l before all our freedom is gone.
New employees or employees with families are more likely to get vaccinated and comply with this order. They really need the job and money for their families. Older employees that are near retirement are less likely to follow along because they have options. HR is an extension of management and they want to eliminate these older, more expensive resources. No package required. This is something that HR people dream of. Let the contractors from all over the world replace these dedicated and un-appreciated workers. USB is so progressive. Younger employees, please take note, this is your future here too. As your salary and career grows, USB is searching for ways to toss you out.
I agree. HR support went downhill since they laid off all the HR managers. In prior years we could count on HRBP and resolve issues quickly and now I feel like I’m waiting on a robot to get my attention. This change puts a lot of extra work on all employees trying to resolve HR issues people are asking other people in their groups for insight and wasting valuable time just trying to figure things out without any HR support because HR support no longer exists. Now eliminating PBP and sending threatening emails to get vaccinated feels like we entered the new Communist world. What happened to America? Many people I talk to are very unhappy with all these recent emails and changes. Change can be good when done right but these are downgrades in a already struggling system.
Current employee.
HR in general now sucks. All personal interaction is eliminated. You must now submit a “ticket” for any HR questions. Similar to submitting an IT support ticket.
As for vaccines, no word yet on a requirement.
Another fun fact, US Bank just eliminated bonuses for all Non Salary employees.
Non Salary employees receive a 3% raise next year, and moving forward, only their merit increase will be rewarded. If they even qualify for one.
