Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What's the average age of HON employees now?

After so many layoffs and PIPs that specifically target older employees, I'm wondering how much did the average age of HON employees drop? Is there any place to find this information or do we have to guess? I think it was somewhere in the late 30s, early 40s before but something tells me that it's at least a decade down by now.

Just about all the folks in my Aero group who were in the last 2 or 3 rounds of riffs or quit were probably 90% 55+ Many were older than retirement age. The ones they replaced were replaced by under 25’s for the most part. Maybe 3 late 30’s early 40’s.

You would have to guess, since legal would never allow the information to be published. Demographics information is super-sensitive (age, gender, etc). But I'm guessing you are asking about US based employees? US based is much older than Non-US. The focus over the last 2 decades has been to hire outside the US in "emerging markets". Cost of employees overseas runs half of domestic employees. I kinda doubt that the domestic workforce is much younger due to layoffs, unless there has been a significant hiring spree in the US. In other words- when you have a team of ten 50 year olds, and you lay two off, the average age is still the same unless you hire young people to replace them. I doubt that is happening.
