Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The least friendly store

I’ve been working in retail for a while now, I’ve moved a lot and changed a few companies. I’ve been here for a few months now and it looks like I’ve come to the least friendly store of them all. I don’t believe it’s just me because I’ve managed to fit in new workplaces very easily so far but I still can't fit in here. Are people maybe under too much stress and as a result no one is in good mood or is the atmosphere at Sam’s always so gloomy? Maybe it's just this store? Or perhaps older employees hate me for getting a few dollars more than them?

Probably both!! New hires shouldn't be making more than longtimers. Granted that's not your fault, but animosity starts there. And when I first started, nobody ever said hello or introduced themselves. You have to do that yourself! Also l, what's the point of learning someones name when they quit 3 days later!
