Many of my co-workers seem pretty confident they will be working here in December without the Jab due to their religious beliefs based on fetal cell research. I'm beginning to think Honeywell will approve all religious exemptions but all of these employees will be placed on unpaid leave. It would be an easy solution to avoid any discrimination claims and put those employees in a position to once again choose between the jab and losing their income. What do you think?

Don't listen to the NAY sayers that say you can't get an exemption because the vaccines were developed using aborted fetal cell line. Just look at these APPROVED exceptions from this website from Raytheon employees. It is a valid moral concern for those who are truly bible believing Christians. For the argument of over the counter dr-gs, who would have know and why do people know or care now? Easy, a brand new vaccines that was developed in a fraction of the time made people research.

There should not be any, religious exemption is nonsense. If it is based on fetal cell claims then if you ever took tylenol or basically got any other pretty standard vaccines, it's game over for your so-called religious exemption

Yep. And Exhibit A: Their Ethics policy:
- Collecting personal health information
- For those who had Covid, mandating unnecessary medical procedure which is completely unethical.
Your religious exemption doesn't have to be a formal recognized religion or set of beliefs. It could be as simple as a firm scientific belief that you can't perform long term testing on medication in less than 18 months.
And if you've had Covid and thus have natural immunity, it could simply be a strong belief against unnecessary medical procedures.
I'm hoping to be among those that are denied so that I can pay off my mortgage and retire early on the out of court settlement. In my state you can also receive unemployment if your exemption is denied. Unpaid leave will mean back pay as well. HON stock and dividends are going to get hit hard next year!!

I filed an exemption. I am religiously required to only work 10 minutes a day.
If you can do your job remotely (like many have been for almost 2 years now), why would the reasonable accommodation be unpaid leave? All the new team collaboration technology that came out during the pandemic, there is no reason anyone should be put on unpaid leave unless maybe you work in close proximity with someone, and can’t do your job remotely.
The last Ask the Doctors episode had the HR Legal VP and basically said Unpaid Leave was on the table. They are also not auto approving anything. You submit the request and HR will having a meeting to see what can be worked out. My best guess are options will be unpaid leave for most who work with colleagues or testing at employee expense if you dont work with colleagues. Honeywell will not be paying for tests for anyone. Getting rapids test now a days is hard to do and a single at home covid test runs $25 to $50 a test. I would expect they would require it to be a rapid test.
I think that some states will forbid firings with few exceptions like health care workers.
No matter what legal challenges galore. Meanwhile the rules are not law and they will create an unfair situation for government contractors.
