Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

That failed

I changed roles within HON recently hoping things would improve and I'd finally get from under the thumb of an incompetent manager with a superiority complex, but that didn't work out for me. Apparently, incompetent managers with a superiority complex feel right at home here, since there's no difference between the manager I had and the manager I have right now. At least now I know where I stand and I'll start looking for something new outside of HON.

OP, how long have you been with the company? Seriously, it's been a pit for more than 5 years. It won't get any better. Use your resources and talents to GTFO. All of us who have left are much healthier and happier.

The supervisors, managers, directors, etc. have simply been forced to become minions of upper leadership. Their behavior is scripted and coached from the top level down and it has become the new normal. It's very sad to see.

I've been saying this here since I left HW aero, MM is the problem folks.....he has surrounded himself with leaders that have no backbone and simply nod their heads at everything he spews. This is exactly what he likes, he's a dictator and that will never change. Not that I feel honored or anything, but I've sat in several leadership meetings with MM and his leaders just sit there on their laptops and listen, there is minimal discussion and no room for others ideas. It's quite disgusting to see how he has imprinted his style and now you have leaders that will not lead or take decisions because they either know they have no power or whatever they do will be criticized or overriden. MM also encourages leadership to treat employees poorly, he was well aware of complaints launched at the VP level and did nothing about it, I only wish I had done something differently on this front when he was the ISC VP. Great job MM, you are the true future shaper.

You either left the Aero transition group or went into it. They are all screwed up at every level.

Honeywell is notorious for hiring people we’ve been fired from other jobs. I really believe this. This is why Honeywell so toxic.

Unfortunately for us they end up becoming management. In fact, I’ll make another statement. Perfect example of this. Honeywell has been hiring a lot of Boston scientific employees. The Honeywell is going to he-l. We’re starting to get recalls. Didn’t Boston scientific have recalls. With mass layoffs.

They must’ve just push the he-l out of parts at Boston scientific. No honey one pushes the he-l out of parts. One of our big customers are getting fed up with us. We had a big recall. Now they have to rework the parts. I guess would’ve been hearing is the customer is not very happy. Will probably lose his big contract. Then massive layoffs.

It’s kind of funny. What happened at Boston scientific. Now Honeywell is going down the same path.

@rbq If I had this problem before HON I might consider that. But that's not the case.
