Someone mentioned the ATT Building in NYC, that was sold to SONY, as an example of wasteful spending and I wonder if you also think wasteful spending is now higher than ever in the past of this company? I wish it weren’t so, but it seems to me that wasteful spending is higher now than ever.

T leadership is like the kid that spent their allowance for the next year in advance!
Just because every large corporation wastes money still doesn't make it right. T has never had money to burn, they borrow for all purchases, the chickens are finally coming home to roost! There is another spectrum auction coming up, where do you think they will get money to bid? They will borrow if any banks will loan them money which is doubtful.
Pales in comparison to employee theft.

Every large corporation has wasteful spending. In the big financial picture, it's a non event. When financials deal in billions each year a million here or there is insignificant.
Any losses in real estate today usually have long term positive effects.
Worse now than it's ever been. I was just pointing out that T and the RBOC's has a history of wasteful spending. When T was building the 'pediment building's in NYC, they kept telling the 23 operating companies to send more money. When Notebaert (Ameritech) was building Hoffman Estates, he kept telling Ohio Bell, Indiana Bell, Michigan Bell, and Wisconsin Telephone to send more money. This was in addition to all the cash Weiss (then CEO) threw away at the headquarters at 30 S Wacker in Chicago.
This is a loaded question..right?
