Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The higher the expectations, the worse the morale?

It seems to me that the more this company changes employee metrics to make people work more for less, ATT achieves the opposite effect? At least judging by me and my colleagues, expectations are higher than ever, and people here are so demoralized that they barely work the bare minimum. I hope they won't, but if they change the metrics again, it would be a debacle......

I don't know what specific metrics you're talking about...but no one on my team gives a flying flip about anything...including my Boss. Works out fine. Do enough to stay off the radar. That's it. No more.

Those numbers have never been worth the paper they were printed on. When you base everything on numbers, people ALWAYS find a way to cheat the system anyways.

You can't handle high expectations.

If the 2nd level did a job it would be staged anyway. They have no experience.

I think the Msoc numbers should be based on how long it takes the expert 1st a d 2nd level managers take to do the job. Seems fair, if you want to write people up for imaginary numbers then show everyone how efficiently you do the job, test it and make it need in the time allotted for each job.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Now, take your third mandated booster shot and jump higher!
