We all get canned at some point. Remember you are a means to an end $$$
They give you severance package? I got canned after 38 yrs and got one. Don't just retire, make them fire you and give you severance.

I canned myself and called it a retirement. Had my sanity to consider. I had 29 years in.
Did you really get canned? What division? Same story I have seen for 30 years. HW always completes the purges before thanksgiving. Time to retire? Good luck!
