Overwhelming Demand?

Got an email late Monday basically saying that there was overwhelming demand for accommodation forms, that each would be handled on a case by case basis, and that I did not have to do anything even if I had not heard back from them until after the 1/4/22 deadline.

From the responses on this blog telling everyone to just get the shot already, you'd think there was only a handful left.....yet the reality is much different, they must have literally got many thousands of requests. Wonder if the real deal is they will approve the request for those they really want to keep and/or in areas they can't afford to lose a bunch of people (such as anyone in BEV, A/V, and other high tech areas that are hot at the moment) and deny those that they would get rid of anyway with the involuntary white collar salary reductions that may be coming in 2022? Think they know they can't get rid of all objectors else they would be ki----g themselves - latest JD Power quality results indicate Ford needs all the help they can get, turning away experience technical people for not getting a shot would be just be self defeating.

I actually think it's too bad there's (allegedly) a big rush to get & submit 'accommodation' forms since it's none of their dang business and requesting an accommodation is the first step and a half into playing their game. It informs them that you haven't taken the shots and don't intend to, plus shows that you believe they have the authority to tell you what to do here (or at least the upper-hand in the matter).

My whole team has been working very successfully remotely and there is ZERO need for us to meet in person "to collaborate" or have "serendipitous encounters", thus absolutely no reason to force us to accept medical treatment to "control the spread".

For the season, the Lions are averaging 52,046 paid fans per game. No vaxxes, no masks , no way to trace an outbreak , people coming in from all over the state and probably neighboring states every other week. Then off to the casinos or dining out. No problem at all !

Ford says they have about 32,000 salaried employees. I don’t know how many work at home but on site employees have to fill out a health status questionnaire every day they come in. And of course we had to disclose our vaccination status and wear masks.

Does Billy boy requires the same things from the fan base ? And before somebody chimes in with “ they had no choice , they are a federal contractor “federal contractor “, once again from their own guideline document :

“The majority of our salaried employees have some direct or indirect linkage to federal contracts. Regardless, Ford has made the decision to require vaccination for almost all of our salaried employees, regardless of whether they are covered under the federal contractor requirements.”

Yes, his name is on the buildings and on the stadium. Other than a place for another losing team , that’s the only things they have in common

It was nice seeing on TV all those unmasked and possibly unvaccinated people crammed together Thanksgiving Day enjoying yet another epic Lions fail in front of a national audience.

Bill makes money off them so personal autonomy is a non issue and politics don’t belong in sports.

Doesn’t apply to an employee working from home though. Maybe everyone who watched the game is indirectly connected to an employee and is also a federal contractor now.

Correction... Weekend. NOT week.

5% to 91% in a single weekend. Absolute lunacy pushing this narrative.

When they say that 90% got the shot, they only mean 30% at most. Anything to get those remaining stragglers.

One corporations I know very well, held a "vaccination" facility in the parking lot. Claimed to go from 5% to 91% vaccinated in a single week. Good effing luck with that lie. They'll ALL giving lip service. It would have AT least been more believable if it was over a month or two. NOW, they're just mocking people, and their stupidity.

If I was in the office of the OGC I would be begging them not to go forward with this absolute slow-motion train wreck of a policy.

Sorry but no confusion on warranty or quality. Both are HORRIBLE.

Wait just a second, I was told to talk up my Thanksgiving dinner that we are hiring good people......right now!

And it was not specified the candidates must be vaccinated.

Ford is sending mixed signals. Just like how mixed up they are with warranty and quality.
