Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Can't get it all done

After more than a decade of experience, it is now happening to me that I can’t get all the work done. At first I felt bad about it, but I don’t think there’s a reason because it seems to be the way HW makes people leave. Given that the workload is huge, how do you manage to get it all done?

I signed up for a stretch goal and adopted the 996 schedule

The problem is you set the expectations too high and now they expect it. They don't care that if you left it would take 2 to replace you.

There is a lot of work not getting done. Try not to sweat it. Even customer issues going unanswered. I don't think Leadership cares. I'm not sure what leadership actually cares about. Oh yeah, productivity (code name for getting rid of folks)

Then dont. Sc--w Honeywell, you owe them nothing. In fact they owe you and everyone else for ripping off the country. Only in this system do utter parasites rise to the top.

Don't. Simple as that. Promise what you can deliver and say no to what is impossible.
If you work overtime make sure you request that a responsible manager be onsite and have written delegate authority for your boss. Often you bosses peers will say no after the first time or two. Let them ensure that if you work overtime your boss works overtime. Remember... they were working that weekend.
