Engineering Teams cut 220 personnel last week. Severance package is 8 weeks + 2 more weeks for every year of service.

Since when is the abusee not the victim. I dont know too many willing participants in armed robbery. Being dismissive of peoples real pain and suffering is the same abuse as what they received while working for the company.

Nationwide TMobile states no new hire classes until Jan 2023. Still why no union after all the changes that are hurting the employees? Meanwhile Board member are cash out several millions of stock which is public record

I have heard from some people that just got laid off from t-mobile. Their last day is 4/22/22. Seems they laid off a lot of the RF testers and RF engineering in Reston VA.

My vaxx exemption expires in July. My organization is hiring, but many people around me from other orgs have been laid off suddenly. Some told the day they were called it was their last day, others told they have until this Friday. I wonder if they will fire me in July.

People got laid off today as well at least 25 that I know of, some legacy sprint and some legacy T-Mobile. I am a manager in the NE and have been with T-Mobile for over 19 years. Still have my job so far but I am looking for other opportunities in my late 50’s…
By the way, the layoffs are not related to what legacy company you were with or your performance, 3 out of the 25 people I know have outstanding performance. I’m starting to think that they look at how much you make and base their decision on that.
Sadly, T-Mobile is not the company it used to be, they say we are OPEX challenged…
Quick advice from an old man, do not work more than what you are paid for, because that will be forgotten, and no one is going to consider it when this kind of layoffs hit. Peace..
current employee not gone yet ….

It seems clear to me that the labor shortage is a hoax. If it wasn't we would be bending over backwards to keep people. As a side note, I am a well qualified senior manager in good standing and I have not been able to find work elsewhere. Lot's of interviews at FAANG and other S/W places but no offers and the job posting remain open.

I suspect the house of cards economy created the last year is about to collapse in a really big way.

I’m guessing they hit most of the legacy yellow people that aren’t aware of how toxic and inefficient this company actually is.

I feel lucky. 20 years, never hit with a layoff until now. I was holding out for a package, I got it. It’s not the Nextel 2 weeks per year package, but it will hold me over.

I don't understand why you think more cuts are coming in July? Also if you have knowledge who are they cutting? All unvaxxed staff was let go on 4/2.

They just let go an untold number of employees who refused the jab on 4/2. With more expected in July apparently.

There's not gonna be layoffs. What they're gonna do is just let attrition take care take care of reducing numbers. They haven't backfilled a position in months.

The only thing holding T-Mob back from mass layoffs is covid. They don't want to be seen as the heartless frauds that they are.

Oh my goodness please close your soup-cooler about layoffs. Many of you T-MO people behave like abused spouses who stick around year after year believing you will one day be loved and appreciated.

If you are still asking this question after all the lies and abuse T-MO has doled out, then you are a willing participant, not a victim.

Go work for a company that respects its workforce and stop worrying about whether your corporate abuser is going to “strike” you again this fiscal quarter.
