Assuming T has 213K active employees, what is the optimal number of employees needed to run T? I'm thinking 140K would be about right. What is your estimate?

probably around 90 to 100 thousand.
but if they did that who would work the strikes when the union goes out.
they need 230 as a bargaining chip with the union when they strike so they can work as scabs.

OP: ‘management jobs are part time’….Actually management who are unfortunate to have direct reports are FT babysitting positions. Managing most hourly groups is like supervising a bunch of middle schoolers…constant complaining, whining, can’t or won’t resolve the simplest mandatory tasks without supervisory intervention.
