People become even more entitled than they usually are so when you add bigger crowds to that, it's mayhem. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to turn around and just walk out due to an obnoxious member who thinks that just because I work here he or she can treat me like cr-p and I have to take it. Sadly, they're right since my manager always sides with them. I hate my job sometimes.

I agree that customers now think they're too entitled & can do whatever they want. Corporate is partly responsible for that because they will not demand members be respectful to each other & associates when they are on company property.
Associates are partly to blame if they stand there and put up with a member's rudeness & attitude.
If a member starts talking to you in a disrespectful manner, turn and walk away. IF they continue, explain to them that your job is to help them not be their punching bag. And you'll be happy to assist them but they must understand that we're going to treat each other the same way.
Amen the managers are so afraid of getting home office called on them they let members treat us like sh-t . They don’t follow policy and if we try to follow policy they override us and we look stupid . I’m over it .
