Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

PLAYING FAVORITES

PLAYING FAVORITES is wrong in every sense of the word. An employee who has not been with our store very long, perhaps 3 months, has been given Employee Of The Month because she gets credits at membership. I don't have a problem with that however they also promoted her to one of the Member Specialist Jobs and rumor has it she is going get Employee Of The Year. What makes matters worse is she is walking around like she is better than everyone. How can you give someone employee of the year when they have not been there for the entire year? There have been numerous people who kick bu-t getting the numbers and they certainly have not been rewarded. This move by management is proving to be a real slap in the face, sending morale down the toilet. So many of the front end people bust their butts, they come to work everyday and they are not recognized. What about everyone who struggled to keep up with the work at the height of the pandemic crisis? We are still struggling, not enough help and they are cutting hours. The management at our store should be ashamed of themselves for making their long term employees feel like cr-p.

Techniquely long term associates should be acknowledged, most don't. Been at my club 21 years now never been associate of the month. Worked in Jewelry for13 years selling and bringing members back for those beautiful high dollar items. Now that I'm working the floor. Members that used to buy walk on by. No member service. They are the ones that have truly kept me coming to work each day. Those members and new members have become my family. Still working with my Sam's Family now three days a week to keep them smiling. If you're not serious about your job. Then it will show. Just remember it takes the whole store working together to make a great Sam's Share. Saying that means everyone should be recognized not just front-end only like I have seen time after time. Happy to Help anytime.

I still believe credits are not that important is the same deal 30$ off it has been that for a while now! We get lots of 10$ gift cards for members to upgrade! So I guess company needs 100$ membership than credits! Bring more money!!! Many people don’t use Sam’s credit card cuz they get better deals with other credit card, at least that’s what I heard every day from members, | just saying!!

Im not sure anybody from the front end has ever been employee of the month in my club. Our front end is useless. That is why even though we always do great in sales, we dont get very good sams shares. Its funny to me to hear someone who stands at a door all day with a scanner bi-----g about being overworked.

The front doesn’t carry sh-t. It takes all parts of the club to be successful. If you want to get specific, after membership fees, fresh makes the company the most money.

Credits are what are keeping clubs off the market sh-----t. So I can only imagine what the management is dealing with on conference calls. They are working very hard to make up for the pandemic. And meh. All we can do is try in the front end. But membership driven sales with the credit card does greatly contribute to the Sam Share. Sometimes the front carriers the rest of the club.
