Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Retaliatory culture

After months and months of doing three jobs at once, I spoke with my manager and told him that having to work as much was affecting my mental health. He basically brushed me off and things continued as usual until about a month later when I was put on PIP. My reviews before this were always stellar. If that doesn't scream retaliation I don't know what does.

Are you me? I was performing 3 jobs after half the team was laid off, and summarily put on a PIP for not meeting expectations. All of this despite management acknowledging that my official responsibilities were completed flawlessly at the same time. My merit raise was cancelled, yet previous 9-blocks were 1 and 2. Internal interviews went nowhere for lateral moves. I don't give a sh*t anymore and can thank the seagull management for turning my career into just another job. I found a new gig and will continue milking this place until my start date coming up.

The waves you're making will continue to ripple forever in your employee record, and the only way up is OUT.

Lessons learned from Facebook. Whistleblowers can legally turn over documents to the authorities… in my case the emails telling me to ignore failures and the serial numbers for products that fail over and over. Test until pass then ship baby. Yesss Maaammm!

Leave. Getting a new job within Honeywell will not solve it.

By PIP'ing you now, you're excluded from the raise pool next year and from accepting an internal move. Document everything. If they are foolish enough to terminate you, get an attorney as Honeywell normally will offer a settlement. If you must go that course, demand at least 6 months severance. Make sure you have all information from the website that you might, including hard copies of prior reviews, notes about the meeting with your manager, and documentation about the 3 jobs you are doing now and who did them previously. Clear your personal items out of your workspace, if you have any there. And begin looking for another opportunity. Good luck.

I would cut back from doing 3 jobs to doing 1.

Next time you should express yourself via the 1 day notice. That will teach them.
