They don't really have a choice the fines for non-compliance are steep and the talk is if you choose testing you will get to pay for it so with all that just get the damn shot save yourself the agony and frustration all that will cause your family.

OSHA vaccine mandate to hit large employers Jan. 4, with hefty fines for noncompliance

CWA here in Texas. Governor Greg Abbott says something else. You can read it here.

I got the shot because I wanted to. I received an email today from some org that costs the company more than they contribute that I needed to provide proof of a shot. Deleted.

I am CWA. I’m sure it went similar to ours. This situation taught me
A lot about how the laws work when a union and a corporation disagrees . It sounds like the same thing that happened to us, happened with IBEW. Right now it stings , I’m sure IBEW but , there is a way out (exemption ) The laws are not written to give the union full dominance I guess I would say . The National labor laws allows a company to go with their final offer over the table once both sides are deadlocked for that second time with a second IMPASSE that the company can bypass the table and present their last and final offer to the members … because they did try to bargain it. The way the laws are written suck … but I am here to tell you , as of yesterday , I got my JA PORTION of my accommodation approved! So it is possible to get past this and still keep your job.

" What is the union supposed to do. They can insist on bargaining until impasse, and then the company is free to impose its terms. The contract isn't out, and in any event, gotta take a strike vote. A majority isn't going to vote for a strike on this.

Teamsters has a court case going, but I'm not hearing that the case is going anywhere."

Totally agree, most of my coworkers believe they aren't going to be affected by what's coming . Like frogs in a p-t.

" You folks that are always surprised by this are humorous. "Needs of the business". Every. Single. Time. "

Business needs over a 100 billion dollars to pay off bad decisions. ATT is like a dung bettle , just can't stop crawling on the bottom of the jungle floor and consuming a more powerful creatures dung. Every single drop.

With my dog, we use something called a Pill Pocket.
He likes the peanut butter flavor.
He has a Terminal Condition - his heart is enlarged.
But he's smarter than you.
