Rumor has it that AT&T will continue to follow the woke path and change management vacation allotment to an unlimited number of days. Companies that have this in place have found that managers will typically take fewer days off, as they strive to compete and not offend their manager/peers. Would this incline you to take more or less time off?

Since the OP felt the need to invoke "woke" I feel the need to explain to his neanderthal brain that:
No, this is the company following the Republican, Greed-is-good, capitalistic mantra that anything that is potentially an improvement in short term profits is the best course of action.
Yes, people tend to take less vacation under these plans, but more importantly, when people leave the company (voluntarily or involuntarily), there will be no accrued vacation to pay out to those people. Does that sound like something a "Woke" individual would be supporting?
And no, I am not a lib#@rd, I am someone with a brain who understands that not everything needs to be politicized. Sometimes, it is just about uncaring management who are just looking out for themselves....
Agree with @sfp+1dBPJByh this would be a cost savings tool, once implemented:
Allowing for No non-used PTO payout when an employee leaves the business-Big Savings here.
These policies will have performance T&Cs around an employees deliverables, and needs of the business-providing another tool to help manage people out of the company for non performance.
"Managers should take a lot of time off. They are not needed"
Most Management employees do not manage others. It is a category distinguishing from union employees. In my organization, management employees are developers, engineers, operations, testers, screen designers, etc. The last time I checked, those folks are needed.
It won't matter in my organization. Most the employees are gone or going, and the replacement contractors don't follow the vacation charts.
those who take the most days will end up on the next FMP list.
The Stink will never do this as then he cannot take away more vacation from employees and not feed his megalomania!
NExt year I finally get my MAX amt of vacation days- if they switch to unlimited, be damn sure I take at least what I earned after all these years (and maybe throw in a few extra for the aggravation we all go through) - would I take advantage of it, no.. but wouldn't hesitate if I need an extra day here or there to do so
AT&T is too big for this policy. They have too many mission critical positions that need someone on the job.
Wishful thinking, ain't never gonna happen at T, at least as long as Stankey is in charge.
I will take 365 days off.
“Why create drama until a policy like this is actually announced? Is your name Karen or Darren?“
It’s just what they do. I wonder if Karen or Kyle know just how stupid they sound then the use the word woke? They’ve just turned the word into a label for something that they don’t understand or don’t like. And we work along side these people.
Too bad it’s not unlimited paid vacation.
Unlimited Timeoff is a trap.
A previous company I worked for did this and stated they wouldn’t have to pay out in accrued vacation if you left the company under the “unlimited vacation” policy. All this means is that the company (at least) HR isn’t tracking it. No tracking, no payout if you leave.

My un-woke a$$ will take my 28 days plus the 5 they took away from me.
Managers should take a lot of time off. They are not needed.
