Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I’ve been with sams club for a number of years, I’ve been through a few stores, and I’ve been with several managers. For the most part sams I can say I’ve been content with my time at sams, obviously some clubs and some managers were better than others. That being said, I’ve never been at a club that’s as horribly run and I’ve never worked with managers as incompetent and lazy as the ones here. Starting with the club manager, who spends more time outside smoking or eating or making fun of associates than he does working, running the club, or setting standards and expectations. He is, without exception, the worst club manager I’ve had. It’s a rarity to see him work 8 or 9 hours much less the 10 hours a day that is required of managers. No manager at this club works what they’re required to, he-l these managers can’t even come in on time! They stroll in an hour late, everyday, with no accountability, and yet, when associates are late, they have no issue enforcing the attendance policy. Seems very hypocritical to me. These managers are comical, they spend the vast majority of their days sitting in the office, or on their cellphones, barking orders over the walkie and sending their leads to handle every call, including member complaints. We have managers here that sleep with leads and associates, they have been seen by other associates making out and more inside offices, coolers and even the hms room. This has all been reported to out club manager and even ethics but nothing has been done about it, we all know how useless ethics is. While some managers sleep with associates others constantly harass and belittle associates, yelling, swearing, I’ve even seen a manager call an associate with special needs “stupid” but again nothing is done about it. It’s all brought to the club managers attention and all he says is I’ll take care of it and then it’s ignored and forgotten about. Luckily I will be getting out of sams club in the near future and I apologize for my rant but it is truly despicable the amount of harassment and the level of incompetence that’s allowed to continue at this club 40 or so miles west of chicago. I know club specific posts are usually removed but hopefully this is ambiguous enough to stay. Also, side note , why does this company promote people to positions in which they have zero knowledge or experience in?
