In the end I decided to get vaccinated so the vaccine could not be a reason for them to get rid of me. I believe there will be people who will look for another company because of the vaccination and those who will be laid off because of it, although probably not much.
What is worrying is what will happen after that, when only the vaccinated remain here? I have no doubt, however, that ATT will be very creative when it comes to finding a new reason to cut more people.

Where/when was it ever stated that you are guaranteed to stay if you get vaxxed?
My understanding is anyone can still be let go, regardless of vaxx status....
Have I missed some guaranty somewhere?
to all the people that are saying that all the other companies will be mandating that also is not the case. there are a nice amount of companies with under 100 workers... start looking now . REGARDLESS what these people are saying there IS HOPE! Don't go against what your GUT is telling you!
You'll just end up being job scared about something else. New metric, new merger, org restructure, automation, etc...
He-l, at this point, T might start force feeding employees Adderall to increase performance.
The big question is why are you still at AT&T? Why are you afraid of leaving?
If you don't get vaccinated and leave AT&T (fired or voluntary) it is doubtful another company will not ask if you are vaccinated as a requirement of the job. All companies are going to require vaccination as is the government
The Stink will continue to find new ways to fire US based employees for free. He is getting good at it.
Just announced that IT are hiring 500 new people next year. Some to replace all the MR75 people leaving this year.
The majority of those 500 will be in India. Big surprise! No.
You will be one of MANY to get the vaccine to save your job at AT&T. You should continuously be working to upgrade your skills and marketability not matter what company you are working for. Why in the world would anyone ever put all their eggs in one basket for a company that don’t own?
Hear hear don't be sad you made the correct choice
Very smart getting the vaccine. Not only for you and your loved ones, but also for your career.
