If we do not approve all the requests, we make it easier for employees to leave AT&T.
We are approving all of them because Joe Biden's mandate allows for these exemptions. 33% of management employees have submitted an accommodation request to date.

And there it is.
A federal judge in Texas issued a temporary restraining order against United Airlines, blocking them from imposing a vaccine mandate against any of its employees in a nationwide class-action lawsuit.
United is prohibited from placing employees with religious and medical exemptions on unpaid leave until October 26 while litigation continues. The judge also prohibited the airline from denying any employee requests for religious or medical exemptions.
BO-M!

If reasonable accommodations can be made without cost to the company, there is absolutely no reason to “test” ppl on a religious exemption, as you have opened the company up to potential lawsuit, d-mb***. What’s your damage? Drunk on that power? I bet you’re a peach to work for. I hope you get that EEOC complaint. I’ll be sure to counsel anyone I know that was “tested” about their religious objection.
im a denial denier,im a liar so must be telling the truth.sorry, phone co logic is a virus
Just get the J&J one. It’s closer to regular vaccines than the mRNA. Or just request an exemption. Despite the laughable “supervisor” on her that is lying about denying 3 people, they are all getting approved for 6 months.
@1ojl+1d52jcFn - why are so many people on your team requesting vaccination job accommodations?
Texas House Bill 39: Relating to prohibited vaccination status discrimination and requirements for COVID-19 vaccines.
Will make vaccination discrimination an unlawful employment practice.

"rumor is HR is concerned about resignations coming in ahead of 10/11? can anyone confirm?"
Why do you think they've been so quiet this week?
They're going to announce the "come back to office order" on 10/18...
Reading through here and surprised that people alleging to be leaders want to control their employee's healthcare decisions. If you're so worried about catching Covid, get the vaccine. It works, doesn't it?
Keep on whining. That is gonna work for you.
Take the 60 days suspension and go on a ski trip or go to Cancun or both. Then get the vaccination and come back to work. What a great leave of absence!
The best thing about COVID having its way with people is they are all Repubs yay go COVID
all being approved is 100% incorrect
I received my second shot of Pfizer in April, and I am doing fine. The only side effect I have noticed is that I am constantly hearing Bill Gates' voice in my head telling me to use Master Card for all my shopping. How long should I expect this to last?
rumor is HR is concerned about resignations coming in ahead of 10/11? can anyone confirm?
To the person who claims the vaccine ki---d 5 unhealthy individuals. I am not a troll and am proud to deny those POS who misrepresent their reasons for not taking a vaccine that is safe and effective.
In reply to “always watching “
At least they know who else to name in their lawsuit against the company when it comes!!
The company has previously been sure on religious discrimination , looks like you will assist with another payout !
POS. Those dr-gs were never tested on animals go back to you’re troll farm
@1ojl+1d52jcFn You are legally not allowed to question anyone about their specific religious beliefs. If you denied it because of questions you asked about their beliefs, which you as a manager or not allowed to do, you have just set the company up for a lawsuit. Once approved by the job accommodation group the only reason you can deny it is if you cannot make a reasonable accommodation for the employee without it being a significant impact on AT&T. So you’re either lying and just trying to start cr-p or do you have insured the company is set up to lose a lawsuit at which point you yourself will probably be terminated for violating the law.
@1lwt+1d52jcFn
It’s not worth it . Get the jab today and they can still
Lay you off tomorrow .. you will still have that in your system forever .I’m planning my strategy now because I KNOW I will not chance my life with that jab … look into getting your
License to sell life insurance , that is one of the multiple streams of income I am putting into motion for myself . People are clearing 6 figures from this alone … don’t give up , keep your bodily integrity !
Mine was rejected so now i have to decide is it worth the risk
To the person denying 3 people. I really hope you are a troll. I can honestly say it doesn’t surprise me though that ATT has hired such a low life POS for a manager. It’s none of you’re damn business why they don’t want to take the vax. Since 5/1 I know 5 people personally that have died ages 37-45 with a heart attack or stroke all classified as “natural causes” all had vax in April. That is not normal and that is MY reason for NEVER being part of this experiment.
Thank you for doing your due diligence and putting a stop to some of this nonsense.
Taking a break from whining to make stuff up when things don't go your way.
WRONG NOT ALL EXEMPTION REQUESTS ARE APPROVED. I denied 3 on my team. I talked with each employee under me. 3 were requesting religious exemptions. I asked for the specifics of their exemptions. All 3 said, they did not agree with how the vaccine was tested on embryo cells. So I got to thinking, let's test them. I said I had an headache and asked what they take for headaches, and this lead to additional discussions about colds, sinus pain and what they take for it. These 3 advised they take medicine such as Advil, Benerdryal. Tylenol. I was even offered Advil from 1 employee for my fake headache. The catch is, all these over-the-counter meds are tested on the same line of embryo cells that COVID vaccines are. Well, that was all I needed to hear to deny approval of their exemption request. I will not be lied to or let AT&T be lied to by ungrateful employees.
@msy+1d52jcFn, take a breathe. Turn off the tv and put away the phone for a minute. If we are all for individual freedom and against one size fits all, don't lump in vaccinated vs unvaccinated. This isn't football or some reality tv contest show, people live or die depending whether if they get proper medical care.
The more we go us vs them, we are playing into the powerful and elite's game, keep watching those videos and support the ad revenue platforms to spread culture wars. Facebook or Fox News couldn't careless if people live or die, they are in it for the money. They work very hard to feed the righteous mentality to confront those who don't agree with you, and your winning ways are putting more money into their coffers.
Spend your time and energy taking care your family, friends and neighbors. This is the only way to defeat Covid, and deep inside, we all know it.
@mey+1d52jcFn And what about the overall costs for those already vaccinated who end up in ICU? How are the unvaccinated a threat to the vaccinated?
That's what the vaccine is for right? I've heard the excuse that the vax is so you don't die when you do get it. So, the ICU's are still going to be full regardless.
Com'on folks, this is nothing but a perception game. Company is enforcing vaccine as it is the prevailing wind and managing risk of raising medical cost if you end up in the ICU for days. What could have been an easy opt in/out gets overblown into another clog in the bureaucracy, it is what the company does best. Take something simple & straightforward and makes it overly complex and pi-s everyone off at the same time.

I was told by an internal HR that when the first announcement came out, that only 40% of managers had registered as being Vaxed in Perks. Based on the start of this thread, if 30% have requested exception, that leaves 30% left? Interesting
True, the accommodation is determined by your supervisor, but having read through the Policy several times myself, being in HR, the accommodation approval is the responsibility of the Job Accomodation Group (AT&T HR JAG).
The accommodation is ultimately determined by your supervisor. Read the "Religious Accommodation FAQ's"
Ah...easier to leave AT&T for better jobs if they get vaxxed. Interesting.
