Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

TIME TO FIGHT THE UNION

The union rolled over with the vax mandate. There is no fight in the union, and as long as we keep quiet, they will continue to work against us. If they will not fight the mandate, then demand a part of your dues back. What is the point of this union if our working conditions dont improve? Since the union wont listen to the voice of the membership, demand some of your dues back. Believe me, this is the only way that we can move them.

Did you know that you can ask for some of your dues back every year, since the union has become a circus. here is how, copy text below and email to agency-fee-admin@cwa-union.org

Dear (Name of union)

I object to the collection and expenditure by the union of a fee for any purpose other than my pro rata share of the union’s costs of collective bargaining, contract administration, and grievance adjustment. Please reply promptly to my request. Finally, please consider this objection to be permanent and continuing in nature.

All talk and no action as usual. You union folks don't really have a leg to stand on right now since the company advised no craft layoffs across the enterprise until 2023. You can moan and complain, but most of you will have gotten the VAX by February. Lest not forget that group 1 craft/union jobs across all regions pay between $82,000-& $95,000 in wage 1 zones annually RIGHT NOW with the SE and W being at the far ends of those spectrums. And that doesn't include the golden benefits they have as well. Even prem techs (wire techs in the SE) crank out $60,000 annually across all regions at top pay and that is the most bare bones/entry level job you can get in craft. You don't just complain and moan and walk away from jobs and benefits like that. They will ultimately cave and that's all there is to it.

STRIKE TRAINING for all CWA represented employees will be held online this Sunday at 6 am ET. We have hired a MLB Umpire to show all union employees how to call a strike. (Give me a thumbs down if you're an id--t)

Poor union workers don't know how to strike and fight back. They are just all talk. Union leaders are powerless but love collecting dues. Union workers will put their tail between their legs and go get vaccinated. Sure fun to read their gutless rants about their freedoms, how strong they are and how they won't comply with this mandate. LOL

Speak for yourself . If that was the case , we wouldn’t be debating this today ! I for One Am AGAINST the mandate and I know
Several others who
Are as well ! Our local VP just sent a mass email because of ALL the emails he’s been getting
Concerning the mandate ! If it was majority that wanted this , this would NOT be happening

Actually, most union workers favor the mandate, but they are too scared of g-n toting Qanon psychos to say anything out loud.

In response to "Good move by the union and the company. Thank you for helping to stop the spread of the virus so that we can get our freedom back."

You get your freedoms back WHEN YOU TAKE THEM BACK.

Not when you submit to the vaccination-as-a-service hamster-wheel.

Although, in Texas, we never gave them up.

This means CWA needs to strike HARD and DEEP. Unvaxxed management won't be allowed to deploy to customers' homes. It's a perfect storm.

THE ONLY OPTION IS STOP UNTIL STINKDICK GETS HIS HEAD OUT OF HIS A-S.

"I am saddened that the majority of
People in this company do NOT READ!!! The union did in fact fight , they never NEVER CAME TO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COMPANY AND THE COMPANY USED A LOOPHOLE IN THE LAW TO BRING THIS TO US!

“Under federal labor law, a Union and a company are required to bargain until they reach agreement or until they reach impasse. If an impasse is reached, a Company is, by law, entitled to implement its final proposal as long as it is bargained with the Union. To summarize these negotiations, because CWA would not agree to the Company’s insistence on a COVID-19 vaccine mandate, the parties inevitably reached an impasse and the company intends to invoke their legal right under federal labor law, to implement their COVID-19 Vaccination Policy “"

What did you expect from these blowhards? They caved on healthcare 10 years ago, and you thought they cared about you and your family. Hemp rope and lipstick.

That is NOT what happened . Did you even reas their updates ???? The golf the company Each and every time they went to the table for this vaccine BS!! The company , by law (nlrb) had a right to post their last and final offer that was REJECTED by the union because of a DOUBLE IMPASSE. Don’t defund the union, FIND OUT FROM THEM HOW US 90k plus ppl can do a STRIKE!! We run this company , if we ALL WALK THEY WILL collapse

not a union guy and never have been. For those of you that still have that id--tic "union brotherhood" mentality, you deserve to be poked in the keister. How much you wanna bet your union leadership got something for this?

Don't just ask for a refund. Stop paying dues altogether.

Got out after 20 years, 4 surplusses was enough reason alone, but when other techs were selected to sit at my desk from the 50K$ buyout in 2020, where I was surplussed from in 2019, when I had return rights, T and CWA said this was special bargaining! That was the last straw that broke the back

Eff it, why not strike? Who cares, those who aren't going to be vaccinated have an end date anyway, who gives a damn if we all get together and strike.

Oh the union has an agreement to not strike? Sc--w em. The company gave us their final word so whats stopping anyone? Strike or roll over and present yourself for vaccination followed by quarterly boosters.

They reached impasse. Company is entitled to impose final offer. Only recourse is to strike. Who's going to strike when more people are vaccinated than not? Union or no union, there is not enough people with a dog in this fight.

Meanwhile, the deadline isn't until next Feb. Without the union, it would have been October. The vaccine could be obsolete by next Feb, depending on the variant that is around.

How is it that other unions were able to get bargain this out and C W A was mowed down? I thought our motto was "when we fight we win."

Thanks for the info, sending my email today. I agree, hitting their finances will get them to act. We need a lot of people to ask for refunds.
