Does anyone keep getting calls from DTV to say you are eligible for a 50% discount? I answered one and said I am and employee and she said let me transfer you. It went to some IVR and I hung up. I keep getting them in voicemails. Why would they give us 50% more when we only pay $10 for the base equipment as standard?

already call blocked. buh buy
Those are scam calls. I get them and I don’t even subscribe to DTV. Search the number online before you call it…
“Hi there I'm calling you from AT&T DIRECTV to let you know that your existing account is qualified for 50% off in order to available discount kindly call us back at from 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific standard time thank you and have a great day…”
Wonder how long DirectTV will last. They are loosing customers and want to take our discount hoping we will support them at full price. Their management is out of touch with reality. Good luck DirecTV. RIP
Bought Sling TV for $35, use Mint Mobile (Tmobile Ntwk) for $15mo.
I don't buy anything the t sells.
FREEDOM!
38 yrs in.
DTV was $10 a month after purchase. I was still working.
When I retired, it went to $129 a month. Not working.
Had DTV for 20 years.
I called. they told me to disconnect for a few months and sign up again and I could get $49 a month. The new customer rate.
FU. And Faquar was hard to understand.
Went to Spectrum for $49 a month. Same channels. Better interface and DVR. Disco'd my cr@p 8M all copper ($29 a month) Uverse internet and got 100M Spectrum for another $49.
Now, switching my cells to T mobile.
Another savings.
AT&T is far too arrogant to figure it out.
They destroy everything they touch.
Glad I'm retired and can watch from the sidelines.
Gave up my Uverse internet for $25, subscribe to Spectrum for $45.
You get what you pay for. No regrets. Enough said.
I haven't gotten any calls about DTV discounts. I suspect they are scam calls.
Seems to me they would be better off keeping that discount going so they are at least getting something rather than nothing. I am not leaving for another 2 months and already switched to T-Mobile, ready to pull the plug on D TV and grab You Tube TV the only thing I am keeping for now is the internet service as I don't want to lose my email addresses I have had for 26 years and the pricing on that is comparable to Comcast anyway.
Supposedly the DTV discount will continue through the rest of 2021. After that, who knows!
But perhaps they don't want thousands of T employees to drop it all at the same time so their cord cutter numbers don't look more horrible?
