Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What does all this look like to newbies?

I was very pleased when I came to this company. After the first few months, I knew I wanted to stay and try to grow my career here. Now that I intend to leave, I wonder what this place will look like to a person who might be coming as my replacement? I believe newbies are shocked when they come here.

Get hired on, work 1-3 years tops, move on to another company. No more long term employment.

All the Indians they've hired seem to be pretty pleased with it.

I came here and made more money than I've ever seen in my life. Like double my last sh---y nonunion telco. It's pretty rad. Think I'll try to stay another 25-35 years if that's cool with you mo--ns on here.

Good luck.
Those days are 30 years ago.
They hate you, and will discard you like a busted needle nose as soon as they can.

You are doing exactly what they want. Get hired on, work a year or two and resign. T's future does not include any long term seasoned employees. Long term minded perspective employees need not apply.
