I just love these 'inspirational' posts that are meant to make us see we deserve better. We know it already. Every single person working at Honeywell by now knows full well we deserve better. Those who had options already left. Those of us who are stuck for whatever reason are trying to find a way around that reason before we can leave as well. We certainly don't need reminding of what a sh---y place this is. Trust me, we know.

Offshoring to India and elsewhere will be continuing, where many champ at the bit for work under any conditions.
Most are staying. You're in the minority by far.
FYI to Honeywell Re: "Burning Platform" :
You're no supposed to intentionally set the platform on fire to see if your employees can evolve
to achieve more . . .
like magically sprouting wings.
It's just how to get employees to bolt from the platform . . .
I loved my job but I guess the people in Poland or Mexico can provide better service.
Taking calculated risks at Honeywell is how you get put on PIP for failure to meet unachievable metrics. Plan simple fact.
Honeywell talks about risks and makes lip service to “big hairy goals (JMs words) but then turns around and gives you no MIP or puts you on improvement plan for failing to hit a goal that pushed onto you plan saying “ don’t worry it is just to set high expectations”.
Ancient hunters would create burning platforms to inspire game to leap off cliffs. As best we know those beasts never learned to fly and only the hunters benefited.
Some people still need to hear it or see it in writing to remind them that it is okay to feel the way they do and to take the next step toward freedom.
The posts are meant to remind us of what is possible when we value ourselves and take a calculated risk. It's not about how bad Honeywell is.
