This week the guy who runs branch banker platform and the guy who runs online banking both quit. This company is in real trouble.

buh bye
When you have an old company like Wells Fargo it is typical to gets rants about them not keeping pace with the rest of the tech world. I think people need to relax. Wells Fargo is not going tech downtrodden. It will all even out in the long run.
My local bank (not a public company) which has like 5 branches has a fantastic, technically modern web site and phone app. It amazes me how much the use of the old systems/frameworks/horrendous bureaucracy handicap us. Oh and my local bank has no asset cap, location strategy, and employs local folks.
Are this BoA folks the ones who actually WORKED on the app or the so called leaders? Big difference in expected results.
well they brought in most of the team from BofA to revamp the mobile app, so we'll see how that goes
Who are the 2 Tech Executives leaving?
None of these new people have an idea how tech works HERE. You kinda need that before you can figure out how to make changes rather than run around like a chicken with your head cut off for two years and accomplish absolutely nothing but getting rid of or alienating the people who actually did know how it worked.
They are getting out before people realize the terrible decisions they have made. Most are bean counters who have no idea how yech really works because they never actually worked in it.
People complain about the tech here then try to complain about tech people leaving. Which is it? If the tech sucks we should be glad there is turnover
Anyone with any ambition, integrity and values, and self respect would leave this place if they could. I don't blame anyone for moving on! It's a terrible environment to be in!
Opening new accounts via the app needs to be a real priority. The way it works now is so broken.
@zls+1cz98XjJ For one they just integrated their car loan accounts to the rest of its banking platform (its still not fully integrated in the app), for the life of my loan I always had to go to another site to see my loan status. The site and app is behind its peers in terms of functionality and ease of use. I could go on but I made my point.
How so @asr+1cz98XjJ?
the online platform here leaves a lot to be desired...
