Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Does the company pay out accrued PTO when you resign?

Or does that only apply to those who get surplussed?

For management US employees, PTO is paid but prorated depending on the month you leave. The doc is available via OneStop at: https://hronestop.web.att.com/documents/33859/4205654/US_Calculating_Payouts_for_Unused_PTO.pdf/9502ab3d-e021-30bc-2cf4-208178f6031e

Dont leave money behind.. fail your covid assessment for exposure, that will give you 2 weeks of paid time, come back fail it again and use 2 weeks of Pto time, keep repeating this until you run out of pto, then come back and fail it again and use up all available Sick and personal days… that right there is about 2-3 months worth of $$.. and yeah yeah i know its not ethical but he is quitting anyways…

after you quick, untaken vacation is paid out per a schedule.
ie, if you get 23 days in a year, they'll only pay out 19 if you left in august (assuming you hadn't taken any days off. The actual schedule is on onestop.

However, if you had actually TAKEN all 23 days, they DONT claw that back from the last paycheck. I'd expect them to change this because its nicer than other companies.

This info is findable on onestop. And there is a post on the 'your money matters' community in tspace from July 12.

a lot of people posting wrong info on this thread. I can only conclude they aren't US Management employees. Or they just say stuff.

You will be paid for all days earned at the point of your leaving payroll.

they most definitely pay you. AND take back money from your last paycheck if you had taken more than you had accrued.

Depends on how you accrued your PTO.

They pay out all that has been accrued and not taken. You get it in the paycheck for the pay period after you leave.

From recent experience, only applies to those who get surplussed.
