I heard they may be Changing the mod-75 rule? Anyone else hearing the same thing or know what is changing? I'm nearing retirement and need to know if this will affect my benefits.

OmG....Just when you thought could not get any worse....wait for it
A key point to add that the article references is that a 5/5 offer does NOT apply to pension. So legacy Ameritech who see a roughly 2x increase in the limp at mr75 would still need to stay the full time or get shorted a significant amount.
@1gdk+1cqtn8Md This article does a good job of explaining how Mod 75 works: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/understanding-modified-rule-75-att-retiree-benefits-johnson-bsn-phn/
I'm still not clear on how Mod-75 works.
Why be so vague? If there is a rumor about changes, what are they please?!
For some Mod75 is full pension lump sum. Mine will double when I hit it.
Don't worry. It will definitely not affect your benefits.
what benefits?
meant nothing for me was just number and why I left. I wasn't among the chosen ones.
Rule of 75 normal or modified means nothing after this year. The main reason to get rule of 75 was to get retiree benefits which are gone after this year for management. I am sure that will also be negotiated for next contract.
If they think a change could help push people out I wouldn't be suprised
I heard the same thing, not sure about specifics yet.
