I knew the Hub and Relo BS was coming, so I've spent all summer busting my tail to get out. Interview after interview, after interview. Finally, I flew to one recently and spent all day there, and before I left they put an offer down on the conference room table. I was almost in tears. I signed it, and it's Remote.
Notice is being sent in 24 hours after I put in for some PTO in my last 2 weeks. I already feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. Scandal after scandal, drama after drama, one minute you're called being told they're not paying CPG for office space and you're just going to be remote. The next year, you're told you got to move to a certain city and pay for it - because $6 billion in profit a quarter we can't pay for talent to move?! Cheap, cheap, cheap! A disgrace folks. Especially when nobody on my team is going to be in that hub location anyway, but who care if it doesn't make sense since they're not footing the bill, right?! This place is NUTS! They have no respect for anyone's life, career, or anything else.
PUT A FORK IN ME! Charlie doesn't control me anymore, and that's a good feeling boys and girls! I've always been a Team Player and I'm going to make the ultimate sacrifice and take one for the team by quitting! Always was a company man, but I'm not one at this company much longer. My dignity is still intact, barely. I'll dust it off and never think about this place ever again.
