Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Can we all agree?

The fact that most cannot quit. Yes, due to good salaries. And family needs... age ....it's a chokehold.. yes most (big mouths.. saying I'm not going to do take the vax..blah blah).. will take the "jab" to keep their job... The vaccinated will still need to share their medical info.. either way.. its still not right.

Agreed! If smallpox made a come back, I’d 100% unequivocally be first in line for it. Tried and true and around for decades.

An mRNA “vaccine”? That’s been maybe experimented with for 1 decade and not on long term human trials? Yikes.

Hey : @ice+1cjGnqa3, you reference mandatory vaccines. Those are tested and approved vaccinations that have been around for decades. The forced COVID vaccine is NOT FDA approved, nor is it a vaccine. It’s a therapeutic…you may still get COVID, but the symptoms “should” be less. THIS IS NOT THE SAME!

And frankly, the bottom line is, IT IS NOT AT&T’s F’ING BUSINESS!!!

“ Vax is no big deal and hasn’t ki---d anyone yet”.

You left out the sarc tag. These jabs have ki---d thousands already who’s providing you with those lies, Fauci and Gates?

The company is looking at this from money perspective. They have to pay all the medical bills for anyone who gets covid, there is loss with sick pay, or pto pay, potential revenue loss depending on that persons job. Vax is no big deal, hasn’t ki---d anyone yet, of the millions already vaxxed.

I said a real threat but didn't qualify the severity. There are other aspects to consider. Yes 1% death rate is low but this disease is very contagious. That 1% is a lot of dead people. And what about the people who just get really sick but survive? Not a fun time in the meantime with some financial and long-term health consequences. And in some places, covid patients have used a lot of beds which created problems effectively treating other serious illnesses.

They may not fire you immediately but if there is a general layoff you will be at the top of the list for noncompliance.

Like it or not, none of the vaxxes are FDA approved yet. Not sure what ATT is thinking mandating an Emergency Use Authorization vaccine.

I'll be applying for a religious exemption which I'm sure they'll deny, but at least it'll be documented and they'll have to reject it, which i will keep a record of.

Here is a great article with resources and a questionnaire at the end to give your supervisor.

A 99.9973 percent recovery rate for anyone under 70. I guess your definition of a threat is different than mine.

I have incredible respect for those standing firm.

I’m vaccinated but didn’t previously attest because it’s my business, not anyone else’s. I hate that they are making us do this. And upload a photo of the card? Really? It’s disgusting. And throughout the flow they try and reinforce it’s voluntary and optional. Lies. It’s coercion plain and simple and makes me sick.

It won’t stop here, either. Just wait.

So here's what doesn't sit well with me. The company didn't mandate this for all. They are targeting specific groups at this time. For the greater good they say but yet our workforce and their managers who support them are not required at this time. A workforce that interacts with the public daily. Forcing virtual management workers makes no sense and the message is inconsistent across the different business units. Whether your for or against the policy the logic here doesn't make sense. Did they not get enough people to retire.. who knows... do they get a kick back from the government for emoyees that attest...who knows. One has to question their motivation .. and those that say it's just the right thing to do thats just bullahit. If it were they would have gotten the unions on board and put out a mass requirement. I've even heard no medical exemptions...not rumor it was said.

Standing firm on this. They will have to terminate me. Will not quit and will not take the jab.

Been through a lot over the years...surplussed, promoted, moved around the country. Never a write up in my record and have never taken sick leave. Always a high performer in my group and leader.

This is demanding too much, AT&T.

Yes most won't quit over a vaccine requirement. Where will they go? Many other companies are also going to require the vaccine.
There is the possibility that being forced to take this vaccine is saving your life. I do understand people being nervous about a new vaccine but covid is a real threat also.

Healthy people are not a threat to public heath.

They are a threat to pharmaceutical profits.

Ya don't get the jab and quit. How is that going to go in the interview for a new job, I quit because I didn't want to follow company policy...interview over.

Getting vaccinated and sharing personal information are 2 separate things.

Mandatory vaccines are not new. Kids have had to be vaccinated for years to start school, military members have been getting vaccinated for everything for years, one needs to be vaccinated to travel to different locations worldwide.
What truly makes this any different?
Make sure you state a reason that someone else in the world hasn't already used....
