Any information on what and how FMP (forced management plan) works? How often, who gets it, any information is valuable.

There is a Severance Plan on HR One Stop. There is no FMP or Management Surplus official document.
There is a single corporate policy for management L4 and below. All posted on HR OneStop...last ones were 2 weeks notice and a max severance of 6 months. Rumors abound that Santone and Stankey looking to significantly reduce the severance payout to you know, be competitive in the market with Google, Facebook etc. who don't have severance based on tenure.
There is no set time schedule for a forced management plan. Some orgs are impacted more often than others. It all depends on when management decides to implement cuts. There are different ways to get the news. Usually, those who could be impacted receive a warning email to watch for another message within a day or two. If you get the second email, you are invited to a group meeting by phone or with your manager, when you get the word. In the past, those who got the FMP had a month or so to seek work elsewhere within AT&T. Lately, some orgs have only given 2 weeks.
and the new T has never called it FMP
It’s happening right now.
