Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How will ATT Wireless compete?

As employees with near 50% off I still pay more than comparable plans with Cricket and Metro PCS. T-Mobile plans are far more reasonable and no junk fees. If I wasn't subsidized I would go straight to another provider. How can they continue to charge a rich premium in a commodity service.

I work for the competition and we receive 50% off, yet some employees still have T-Mobile as their personal service because it’s cheaper even with the discount.”

You can get a better deal and service than your employee discount. Look a how art wireless has been trending. I guess they have government contracts so they won’t go out of business that is the only way I see how they stay in business.

Go to the other provider. You are a consumer and paying more than a cheaper plan, subsidy or not, dont' make sense now does it?

We can't unless we take big steps to reduce our internal costs. I'm sure we can all think of a group or process that exists that has little value added. Everybody should be asking the question 'do we need to do this' ? And replacing employees with contractors is not the solution to reducing costs. I know many employees that want to do more but we have a culture of forcing employees to stay in their own lane and they end up stuck doing the same things for years.

Is there an internal website where employees can report useless spending/costs? Not a site to complain but to offer solutions that cut costs.
