I believe a big wave in August has been in the works for months. I heard SDI will be on the list

I can confirm that the 19th is a real date for more layoffs - not limited to just one LoB
It’s not illegal in this place to layoff someone in most cases.
However, It is highly unethical to force someone to move possibly 100s of miles or more and then terminate under the auspices of a 1/2 a$$ downsizing effort.
Yes, the bank could save themselves a ton of time and money by having an internal volunteer for severance website. Set it up so you have a pool of people willing to go right away. It would really speed up their process and make everyone's lives easier.
Better they do layoffs quickly otherwise moving to a new hub location and getting layoff is horrible and illegal.
What would be nice is a sign up sheet. I am ready. I have been very happy at WF for a long time and made a lot of money. Time to ride off into the sunset with a nice severance package.
Corp America is not for the weak. You have to fight for what you want and more importantly you have to go out and make it happen. No one is going to give you anything. I laugh at all the whiners as it is simply comical what you have for expectations. The very harsh reality is that non one, and I mean non one is irreplaceable in any role. People are tools and nothing more. When one tool is not working as it needs to you replace it with a better one. Ask yourself - are you the better tool?

It would be nice if they fast tracked the layoffs at this point prior to RTO. No one wants to be forced to go back in only to be let go. What would be the point of that?🤷🏻

I did notice a former teammate went zz on my Skype list, offline 5 days. He was in 3rd party. no out of office, will ask around.
