Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

How good employees will Honeywell be able to attract?

Honeywell will have a real problem finding people to hire. The employees that left to other companies warn coworkers about Honeywell.
Words out at my company to go anywhere but Honeywell.
It’s a small industry.

OP @1nvd+1cfnfs4M. My opinion is that the company will always be able to find employees to hire, however, the question is how good those employees will be....

Oddly worded, your title is.

Few of the grunts hired in the last couple decades have had the chance to do any real engineering. Many just fill out spreadsheets and do busy work. Many aerospace honchos are desperately scrambling to get retirees to return to work, because for the past 20+ years they've done nothing but toss out their senior employees and trained no one to replace them.

They will hire kids, burn them out in five years, they will move on, that’s their model. Cheap cheap

Ex Honeywell employee here and I would never refer anyone to Honeywell! If asked, I share my experience working at the company and let them make their own decision.

The HW machine doesn't care... they will exploit new grads or slaves from "Chin'er or Ind'er". They will tell you there are literally 10 people they can hire for each job and all at lower rates...

That makes sense. Just a constant rotation of sub-par or beginning employees. That sounds equally bad.

I’ll go back at the end of my career so I can collect easy money and go out by getting fired. Lol

I work at Raytheon too. Feels like honeywell 20 years ago. More hierarchy. Lots of government money. Less penny pinching. Managers manage, bean counters count, coders code. I make 30 percent more even after MIP is considered. I always got MIP at honeywell.

Lots of ex-Honeywellers at Raytheon where I work now. The culture of Honeywell is pretty well known.

We have had a band 3 rec open for over two months without applicants. I laugh to myself every time my manager asks us to refer people. Goodness gracious I would never refer someone to Honeywell. My group has wonderful people but they all deserve better than this too.
