I left a little over 6 months ago. My situation has improved, but not as much as I had hoped. Sometimes I do think of what could have been if I had stayed, but I am reminded of why I left in the first place after reading the posts here. I guess this board is the best nostalgia cure I can find.

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Work….anywhere you do it is just that. WORK. If you have a balanced life, you thrive . You have to have the self control/composure to get up every day, provide a service and then cash your check. I am amazed at how many people just don’t get this. I love what my job gives me. I give them a solid days effort M-F, and they pay me very well. I have no complaints. I work for me. Don’t knock it until you try it. My bank account, 401k, E-class, and all the other life’s pleasures I thoroughly enjoy remind me constantly that I’m doing just what I need to do. It’s really that simple.
Get a life!
Like in the movie Frozen...... "Let it go...........
It’s like being in any toxic relationship - easy to remember the good times and forget about the bad.
But even in unhealthy relationships, the breakup is still painful.
You need to focus on how much better you feel now.
You don’t have to suffer any more abuse from this failing, dysfunctional, ego driven joke of a company.
"nostalgia"
a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.
Very psychological choice of words.
You won't find the same personal experience with social media that's found with personal interactions (especially when the identity is anonymous) , kind of like Dr. Jekyll an Mr. Hyde.
Keep the memories but move forward. Spending the precious time you have now wondering is not something you want to do. You want to build new experiences.
Doubt you could go back, even if you wanted to. No point in second guessing at this point.
I left 2 months ago! Best decision I ever made!
So you need a safe space?
Have you tried some coloring books and footie jammies?
How pathetic.
Keep your chin up, think positive and keep looking forward using what you learned that is behind you
Never look back, but you can remember back.
You made the correct choice! You are rid of the Stink and his Toxic environment. Don't look back.
