Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

This is not right

This leadership treats all of its employees with disdain but since their results are good nobody cares. It doesn't matter that we do the work behind those results. Nope. They are the ones who receive the accolades and we get layoffs, verbal abuse, more work for the same pay, and on and on. How is everybody okay with this?

Since MW took over, Chevron has treated its technical employees like dirt, and their support employees (HR, Finance, Procurement, Diversity, etc.) as if THEY were the ones making the money and innovations. A truly upside-down company. Ever wonder why there are virtually no "industry leading" (that is, well known outside of Chevron) scientists and engineers in the Company? Don't get me started on our bloated, self-congratulating Fellows.

This is why we need regulation in the US that gives Americans some protections from the greedy corporations. They don't care about employees at all only their profits. Time to make changes in the US.

Accolades

You must not be on Anchor we have accolades. They are worth nothing, don’t worry our project will sell you a chevron or project shirt but we don’t even get anything for milestones or as an award.

But they care about all the stakeholders. Haha. Just look at HR. All of their top talent is leaving or about to leave. It must be much worse than we think if they leave.

Odd that. For a public company with shareholders.

Way to be general and overly dramatic. Talk about exaggerating.

Nothing new. This has been Chevron for at least the last 30 years.
