NS can make any rule they want as a condition of employment, but it will ultimately come down to what the arbitration board and courts decide.
Don’t allow this to happen people. We are finding out now that it’s not the sort of life saving miracle they’ve been trying to sell it as. Still, would it be right to deny someone the vaccine if they want it? Of course not. It’s much worse to back everyone else into a corner who feel different about it.
I got the vaccine in march. No issues. I personally know 4 people that got covid. One died. He told me before he died that covid was no joke. A good friend and his brother got it and were sick and in and out of the hospital for two months. He said he has never been so sick in his life. He got the jab afterwards, his brother did not. Last guy was sick for a couple of days but is ok now. no jab for him either. This is no joke people, get the shot , it could save your life.
Vaccine should be personal choice , it was not tested enough , not FDA approved , pharmaceutical not held liable for damages , what could go wrong their ? Some places are reporting up to a 74% Covid infection rate for those with the vaccine , personally know medical staff who say over half of the people infected have the vaccine .. I am not anti vaccine , I am anti Covid vaccine , simply for reasons stated .. employer should not mandate , if so should be held liable for damages .
It is not legal for an insurance company to require someone to get a vaccine, so we dispense with those lies. However NS can require a vaccine as a condition of employment as a private employer although it's doubtful they will. There have been cases recently where hospital workers were fired for refusing the vaccine.
