Is anyone on the retiree pre Medicare healthcare plan and have a spouse that is Medicare eligible? If so does the AT&T healthcare plan make sense for them? Can’t get straight answer from benefits other than AT&T healthcare is secondary. Also I don’t know if you get penalized if they wait to sign up for the Medicare B and D plans.

I threw out my medical plans upon becoming Medicare eligible, but there should be a section in the plan that describes how Medicare works. As I recall, they won't pay anything Medicare would have paid. The spouse may be not eligible for the plan at all.
Meanwhile, the spouse might be eligible for the AON platform if the former employee is subsidy eligible, or would be except he hasn't reached the Medicare age (65). The company will contribute about $1500 for the spouse. I think the retiree will have to be on an AT&T pre-retirement health plan for the spouse to qualify.
