When I became a prepared foods team lead I was making 21$ an hour. That was a year ago. Dropped down to cake decorator as I was previous from the lead role. Now I’m making a lil over 19$. Bakery is I think 23? Meat 25-27.

Nobody know how hard a person job is unless they have done the job. Also different stores do different things such as our team leads are most of the time on a register. People always see moments in people work but don't notice when ur working hard. When they see that they automatically want to go to that job. Example personal shopper people always think that job not hard and want to go there. But when they get there they realize not as easy as they thought and they quit or go to different job. So just because u may see someone standing around don't assume u know how hard that job is of u haven't done it. There not a job in Sam's club that hasn't had moments of standing around but does not make their jobs not hard. This is just my opinion so don't anyone go on the defense. Also this is based on my store I don't know what happens in other stores. All stores are different.
The days of getting paid according to how hard you work are over. All companies now give everyone the same pay regardless if you work hard or not.
Well there is a few places that pay you more if you know someone or kiss a-s.
Let me guess your probably one of those leads who have so much time on your hand till you know everything thats happening and all the gossip and who gone get fired and what aint been doing in departments on the other side of the building, well most of us so busy leads and all making sure things done efficiently even if we got to help, i seen a lead today building displays, and stocking....guess hes a bad lead, because maybe he shouldve had his crew do it while watch even know they already got plenty to get done
Nothing wrong with you having an opinion and my gramma in here is because im at my second job, wise guy...and furthermore im speaking of leaders who dont do nothing but kiss up to management and dont help there area when its needed just because your a team lead are manager dont mean you cant help are work when needed ive seen store managers pushing carts when needed until a cart guy comes in because of call outs, and ive seen front end team leads stand out there and watch one guy struggle and fussing at him cause he cant keep enough carts in the vestibule by himself, and ive also seen team leads in other department roll up there sleeves and help when needed that all im saying and maybe the stand around and just work the dog mess out people and want help is the reason so many people quit daily, if you standing on the front end watching 2 cashiers with line going around the corner why you cant help because you a lead, thats ridiculous ive even heard of member mentioning that on mx voices, that associate look unhappy and over worker on those registers while supervisor stand around in huddles and talk
Perhaps they "make it to the top" because they have proper speech. Just a thought. If you are so bitter, why don't you move up? Of course that would mean passing assessments and interviews that require a level of education. So maybe don't hate on someone else because they do, without knowing what it is their job actually entails.
"more harder"? It makes me sad this is probably coming from a Team Lead. If you are, you should know the job isn't harder on one side than another, it's different. The pressures are real across the board. I know at my club no one wants each other's job, for different reasons. As they say, "The grass isn't always greener on the other side."
Well thats horrible that you can stand around and make it to the top, then people wonder why they make it the top and really dont do nothing
Umm... "physically" harder jobs often pay less in the corporate world. Other jobs are harder in ways that are less physical and, the further up the ladder you go, the more responsibility, and the harder it is to find employees who can handle the duties properly, even though physically the job isn't that hard.
