If I quit/get job outside company, am I still eligible for prorated bonus payout next year? Thought HR docs say have to be on payroll through Dec. 31?

if you quit or leave on by your own choice, you get nothing. It's really that simple
Per the previous answers - I was under the impression that if laid off, you will receive a pro-rated bonus (I can confirm this worked for me in 2020), but if you leave voluntarily before 31-Dec, you do not get your bonus.
Check with HR if you want to get the true answer!
