Do they still exist? Just curious what happened to them. It’s been several years since they were a thing.

Yep, how do you tell an associate that they need to actually do some work? They might find it offensive and file a lawsuit! Meanwhile, just dump on an associate who already has too much on their plate!
No need for them being we all get a participation raise. No need to try to work harder then anyone else.
We don't have them. At any level. Other than Management. We do frequent one on ones at associate level. So nothing is a mystery on where you're standing, what you need to work on, where you do well etc. Nothing for leads. I guess with the blanket, whopping yearly 2% they aren't necessary.
