this is a terrible list. no one uses pressure tactics in the interview stage. even ponzi schemers and white collar criminals. concensus- wtf is that? rigidity- vague. long decision period- not indicative. revolving doors- sometimes this is a good thing (analysts at investment banks). ill concede no growth path, but that's still 1/8

If you did your homework on this hypothetical company, you would have known all this before, and turned down the interview, let alone get to the point of entertaining an offer. Since this article is coming from Apple, they're just tooting their own ho-n. The things your REALLY look for (and ask about) are company performance, advancement potential, and career development. Nobody works for one company their whole career, you have to look for what YOU can deliver to that company, and how THEY can advance your career, over the next 5-10 years. Everything else is just distractions. You'll note that Chevron can dance the dance on the first item, but now fails dismally on how they're going to help YOU in your career. That's been MW's plan all along.

@1vgg

Chevron does not check box #6. There are more diverse people at this company then any small o&g company I have worked with. If you got to a small company it’s 100% performers not about what you look like, chevron it’s what you look like first

“Well at least Chevron doesn’t hit all 8 of them”

I’m pretty sure Chevron hits all eight of them and then some. Same for every other O&G company.
