I just received the initial notification regarding 2022 medical options in the mail. There are two options - the AT&T PPO offered through United Healthcare, and a individual medical plan purchased through the Aon Retiree Health Exchange which I currently have and would highly recommend as the better option, although obviously your choice. The $4,700 annual subsidy is a much better deal than the PPO where you pay >$100 a month for coverage for your spouse and no subsidy-to me it seems like a no brainer.
My question is are there any Medicare eligible retirees on this website currently subscribed to the PPO option? what is your experience and how happy are you with that option? The reason this is important information is that the Aon option is likely to be eliminated after 2023.
I'd also think it might be useful to all retirees to see what others are deciding-
